How to use different kinds of punctuation



Brackets.
Miss Ashley’s example:

Mum gave Lucy (her favourite daughter) $10 for lunch.

Miss Ashley had 27 students (both girls and boys) in her class.

My examples:
  1. Miss park had 9 year 5s in her team for netball (both girls and boys)
  2. Miss ashley gave her daughter( her only daughter) some lollies to eat.Colon and semi-colon.
    BEFORE: BETWEEN; Miss Ashley’s example: Mary went to the fruit shop and bought lots of different fruit. She bought: bananas; pears; apples; and a pineapple. The girls team had 10 players. The team was: Hiria; Ana; Maria; Vina; Lily; Vaiola and Maani. My examples: There are 7 colours in the Rainbow. The Colours are: Red; Orange; Yellow; Green; Blue; Indigo And violet. There are 5 people in the netball team. They are: Hiria; Maria; Vaiola; Ana; And Vina Commas in listing. Miss Ashley’s example: The girls team had 10 players. The team was Hiria, Ana, Maria, Vina, Lily, Vaiola and Maani. My examples: Today Me, Ana, Maria, Hiria, Vina, Lily, And Maani went outside and played on the park There are 26 people in our class. The girls are Ana, Hiria, Maria, Lily, Waiari, Sumuree, Syraiahlee, Vina, Brackets. Miss Ashley’s example: Mum gave Lucy (her favourite daughter) $10 for lunch.
