Save Our Habitat

For our explanation writing my group and I did Save our Habitat. In my group the people are Lily M, Lily U, Courtney and Lino. We are not finished but we will add more when we are done.

To start, most mammals are endangered because their habitats are getting destroyed by humans. They’re endangered by construction workers that destroy their homes to make new places for other humans.

First of all, mammals are endangered because they lose their habitats due to human activity. For example, people destroy their homes for money or people litter, and when they litter it gets all over the place. Some animals even think litter is food so they try to eat it but then get sick (which is very bad for our environment). The change towards losing their habitat, we should stop littering, stop busting down their habitat, and if you see any litter think better and pick it up.

Boxing Reflection ( Session 3 )

Today after Morning tea we went to kiwisport which was boxing. At boxing we learnt how to jab, cross, hook, uppercut and foot work. We got into buddies and lined across each other one is the boxer and the other person was the coach. We also learnt to control our body and all that strength and all that power to punch. Overall it was a good session and a fun 45 minutes.

Mean, Median & Mode DLO

WALT Use : Mean, Median & Mode. It was hard but I manage to get it and understand it. I'll be explaining how to use/do Mean, Median and Mode.

- Mean, is when you add all numbers and divide it by how many number there is. For example 12, 7, 9, 11,  you add them up . 12 + 11 + 9 + 7 = 39, then you divide 39 by 4 because there is 4 numbers that you added up. So 39 ÷ 4 = 9.75.  That's how we learnt how to do it.

- Median, it is all about the middle number like 4, 6, 9 the median is 6 because its the middle number. If you have an uneven group of number such as 4, 6, 9, 2 you will have to add up the 2 middle number 6 + 9 = 15 next you divide 15 ÷ 2 = 7.5. This how you do Median if its a Even or odd equation.

- Mode, Mode is a number that's been used more than one time like 7 8 9 6 7  the mode is 7 because its a number that has been repeated. If its 9 8 9 10 8 the modes will be 9 & 8 because both numbers was repeated. If you have numbers like 1 2 3 4 write no mode because there was no numbers that was repeated. Remember to don't write down 0 because if you do people will think the mode is 0.

Graphical Representation (Mean, Median & Mode)

Talofa lava and Welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be showing my work about Mean, Median & Mode.

What I found difficult was that I couldn't really understand the work until we keep watching the video. My advice for you is before you add all of it up maybe put it in order ( smallest to biggest).

Maths

Kia ora readers and welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be blogging about my Maths that I've just completed and Here is my Problem !
At Tamaki Primary there are 25 staff members. 20% make up the Senior Leadership Team, 0.32 make up the Academic Team and 48% are staff members.

How many SLT, Academic Staff and other staff members are there?

So there are 20% of teachers in SLT (Senior Leadership Team) and 1/5 of 25 = 5 teachers in (SLT)
Next there is 32% of teachers in AC (Academic Staff) and 32% X 25 ÷ 100 = 8 teachers in (AC).
The other Staff teachers has about 48% and then I did 48% X 25  ÷ 100 = 12 (OSM)
